It is opinion of the Partito della Alternativa Monarchica (Italian Party of the Monarchist Alternative) that in the present context, all energy alternatives should be considered everywhere.
This includes the use of bio fuels (vegetable oil and alcohol), hydrogen, and all the economic feasible energy alternatives - wind, solar, geo thermal, etc. Alternative fuels and/or energy sources should be subject to reduced taxes to make them competitive or even tax exempt (including VAT) to promote their use.
Furthermore, taxes collected from conventional fuels (oil derivatives & gas) should be withdrawn from the National budget and placed into a special energy fund to be applied on the research and development of non-conventional sources and for providing credit (loans and grants) to alternative fuel producers, distributors and consumers; and for developing the availability and improvement of performance of conventional fuels, the development of more energy efficient equipment that use conventional and non-conventional fuels; and improvement of all energy related systems (production, conversion, transmission, distribution, etc) it is also necessary.
