Frans Deumes ( 24 april 1930”€20 oktober 1986 )

Born in Merkelbeek, in the south of the Netherlands, he was second of six, as son from Jupp Deumes and Gertrude Kleuters, his attention was allready at a young age with art.

After Grammar-school he went to the academy of art in Maastricht, afterwards military service, and at last he could get started as an professional artist. In his first years he had a workshop in Sittard, and from 1962 his own at his house.

His work included many glas in lead, glas in concrete, clay reliefs, mosaic, wallpaintings, religious work, and free work.

However, this is about his free work, oilpaintings and water-colours. The oilpaintings were made in the period 1962 till the early seventies, and the water colours afterwards till his dead in 1986.

His abstract oilpaintings are the most fantastic, technically perfect and well ahead in time.

To let more people enjoy his work, there is now the opportunity to buy reproductions of his work.
